
The battle against human trafficking yielded another outcome on Tuesday as the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) secured conviction against a human trafficker, 29 year old Ebere Jessica Nnamani from Enugu State.
Nnamani was charged on a 2-tally charge of harboring a man under 12 years of age as residential assist and requiring a man to do work that is damaging to her physical, social and mental improvement.
The trafficker was captured on October nineteenth , 2017, for physically manhandling a 7 year old young lady from Ebonyi state living in her home, after a tip-off, and was charged on December fifth, 2017.
Conveying the judgment, the Presiding Judge, Justice Oghoghore articulated her blameworthy and condemned as takes after: Count 1: 1-6 months detainment with an alternative of fine of N50,000 and for the second tally: a year detainment with a choice of fine of N100,000.
